Sassnitz Windz

In the early morning we went to the bus stop. It was cold, so we were a bit freezed. Instead of unique nature we had to hear also an annoying voice of bus driver. (bla,bla,bla….). When we arrived to the town, it was still cold, but we were protected by warm clothes. During the whole excursion it was windy, but we admired the beauty of the Baltic Sea. So today, we went to Sassnitz, in the harbor, where we played a game, “identify your stone” … In a circle and with a random stone in your hand (other than your stone) you had to pass the stone until you feel that your stone is in your hand. After that we moved on through the forest until we found something like a swing. Some of us were very happy because we could be Tarzan (and some of cause Jane!) for a few seconds: D. After this well deserved break, we went for a walk along the sea side. After a long walk, we took some mud and tried to do something that looks like a face or what our creativity told us. On our way back we saw some interesting “easy-breakable” rocks and almost all of us had fun while trying to break them on other big rocks in the water. Also some guys wanted to show off trying to throw some rocks further. Once we were back in the harbor, we had one hour free time and some of us went to take a small snack: either a milkshake or a cake. J. Now back on our way to the camp, we were passing Prora, were we visited a nice “hotel” for working class people, built from 1936 to 1939, 5 kilometers long, and of course some pictures or just to admire the landscape on the beach. A few minutes ago we were here, in our lovely camp, having dinner. After this we are planning to do a farewell disco. That´s why we have to stop here…..

STRALIBU – Dreams come true!

At first, after a very very very very short night we drove by bus one hour to Stralsund. We were very tired and we woke up in the beautiful cozy “Adolph-Diesterweg -School”. We had a chance to take part in 9 work-shops: Capoeira, Electro-Music, Break dance, drums, song writing, fight-dance, African-dance, circus, dance with a ball. It was so exiting and difficult at the same time. But we did it! We will rock you!!!

One hour later started the theatre “Instant act ‘II”. This show was about violence and racism. Everybody went to see this event. There were no places at all. This concert impressed us very much. And it made us believe in ourselves. And we realized now that we must fight our fears. These muscular boys were so sexy;) Finally our dreams came true…. Shopping in GermanyJ

And when we went to the oceanarium with our brand name clothes we became wet because of the real autumn shower. Penguins, different kinds of fish , boats, birds, blue whales, seashells, sea stars, ocean sounds ….. improved our mood.

Poor imprisoned fish..freedom for everybody!

We returned to the camp tired but happy. But now I have only one question. Where is my bed? Where is my pillow?

Every day we stand up, have our meal, work, go to bed. Boring?

Stop.

Today we are going to take part in some competitions. Who is going to be the first?

Like the last morning we got up early, too early… but today there`s no work to do, we`ll having much fun!

Jogging with Kung fu later on early in the morning. Exhausting 3,7 miles! But relaxing at the same time. Great!

After the breakfast when everybody wanted to sleep, we were going at quarter past nine to the beach, where the competitions started. In four groups we went in for sports with students who teach us. I`m sure it will be cool! We had much fun at the beach, we run and caught.

The competitions were relay races, Frisbee and different ballgames like football, handball, so on…Sarah, Jule, Vanessa, Niklas, Henrik and Alexandru belong to the best group. The winners got sweet candy-victory. We played also small games like “Field ball” and “Brand ball”. Nobody was hit, but a lot fell onto the sand.

At 12 o`clock we had our blessed meal, not so interesting, but there we can talk and make jokes.

It’s time to celebrate the end of summer. Neptune, the god of water and the sea together with his mermaids was going to bless everybody)
Neptune and his mermaids were very beautiful and the sea very cold. They came out of the water. Neptune’s Catchers stood behind the others. We listened to Neptune, than some of us should be baptized. Some stayed there, some ran away, but they had no chance. They were caught and had to drink a terrible soup. It smells sweet and salted with bread, Oil, spice and other things you better not know!

It was hard to stand up at 6.30 and everyone in our bungalows went in the showers.

Then we had breakfast with rolls, nutella, marmalade etc. Yummy!

After breakfast, 3 projects started, all about against bullying and racisms. And we, the camp reporters, started our work. We took some photos and asked some pupils, what they think about the projects.

They talked about an imaginary world where are many peoples with dark eyes, and among them a few peoples with blue eyes and supposedly the one with blue eyes are less clever than the ones with dark eyes and this is the main for reason for the collapse of their society. Once it was a great and rich society, full of scientists (only peoples with dark eyes). But now they are near bankruptcy. And we made the conclusion, that they are wrong, because everybody is unique.

Another project was about Neo-Nazi’s and other racist groups and what they do in our modern world. The most pupils went here, because they wanted to know how to behave if they meet someone out of those groups.

In the afternoon, we will go to the beach and have fun. (Swimming, playing, etc.) When we came back, we found the two teachers from the Ukraine, very, very tired at the camp.

Although it was very hard to get up so early at 7.a.m. 9:30 we started our work in 4 groups, two groups worked at EVZ http://www.stiftung-evz.de/ , camp blogs http://europacamp.wordpress.com/ and editing group which is cutting the film material, that was filmed in Cherniwzi , we also had one group that looked through the text and decided what would be useful and just order it.

At forenoon the students from Romania arrived to Sellin. They were very friendly and nice. Hardly they had come here they worked at the presentation of their native country.

After the hard work we ate our lunch, had a little break and worked again.

In the afternoon came the groups of pupils from France and Bavaria. In spite of strong hunger we waited with patience for our guests from another countries. During some little games we got acquainted and became friends. At the evening most of us went to the beach and hang around to relax and to talk to each other. Every group sang some songs, unfortunately we had to go to the camp at 10:00 p.m., ´cause we had to sleep.

First meeting

Our first day in the camp started with the emotional arrival of our Ukrainian friends.

For two months we have waited wistfully for them to come here. Hungry after a very exhausting journey our travelers consumed everything eatable. After a short break everybody took the last energy to work for our film project “Vertane Chancen” (working title). So we had our next meal and went to the beach to celebrate our gathering: playing cards, listening to music, dancing in the moonlight…

seven nation presentation

In this morning we had to say goodbye to the Turkish and the Romanian students.

After that we had our last projects about our country prosended by students. It was very interesting and we learnt a lot about other cultures. There were also a few performances along the presentations for example a band from the Stralsund school.

Now we have freetime until everybody have to go home again.

After all that great days with that exciting projects we think it was a amazing week.We’ve met a lot of people and we will remember these people forever.Tomorrow erverybody go home again and have to say goodbye to Stralsund and Sellin. This camp was the place where many new friendships and maybe a few love affairs had begun.We hope to see us soon again.

Today is our first day in Stralsund. We are now in the Adolph Diesterweg Europaschool. Campers were placed in a lot of workshops, for example African dance based on international traditions combinated with a touch oft the modern world. We had a breakdancegroup, drummers, circus, theatre, group which made songs, rapper, capoeira and juggling. Many people said that it was great, funny and they learnt a lot of new things.

After the workshops the pupils presented their new skills to the whole school.

The next attraction was the instant acts presentation. We saw the things like in the workshops but they were performed by professional people. In the background we may see family problems, racism and sexism. We think that the students learnt new things and it was very useful. The music was also great and it was amazing for us to watch it.

On this day the project is „feed the world“.People from every country bring their special food and show the camp how it tastes. The bavarians for example prepare cheese and grape. This are small berries which are normally white or red. The romanian people brought also cheese, salami, eggs, butter, olives, omlet, pancackes, bread or “dulceata”. This is a sweet food with fruits like strawberries, apricot or cherry. The students from France have bread, croissant, pancake, cereals, milk and orange juice. The turkies eat bread and “meneman”(something with piper, tomatoes and eggs).They have also lot of stuff with oil. “Banitsa” is typical for Bulgaria. Its a mixture of eggs and bulgarian cheese between filo pastry.

In Poland the people eats “oscypek”(typical cheese), tomatoes, fruits bread and yoghurt. Often they eat also sausages. The last group from Stralsund prepare sandwiches and a cake.

Don’t drink and dive

Today we also went to the swimming hall. There was a big slide, pool noddles, whirlpools and a outdoor area. Everybody swam and had a lot of fun.

Working Title

Today we like to introduce ourselves and which task do we have.

We, the camp reporters, write text about what people do in this camp and about their experiences.

We also interview them and shoot photos. In spite of small problems (for example with the language) we have got a lot of fun when we do our job. We hope this project will help us in the future.

Today we had 3 different projects :think, stop and comenius.

94% of the campers sad that the projects were very interesting, funny and will help them in the future.

Many people sad that this project help them to learn more english and get to know each other better. In the group “think” they learned to deal with people who has been discriminated. In the “comenius” group they played many games and had a lot of fun. The people from the “stop” group get a lot of information about drugs and alcohol and they also played many games in the forest.
